New user administration
This update should be seen as a preparation for Click Your Van to be integrated with HR systems (including MindKey) and contain thousands of users.
It is therefore necessary to change the handling of roles so that you do not have to handle users and associated rights individually, but can also work with several users at once.
At the same time, expansions are also taking place, which are linked to the new Fleet module that Click Your Van offers.
Changes in how users are assigned rights
Until now, you had to first add users under the “Users” tab
To then go under the “Organization” and then “drag and drop” different roles under the person.
After the update, these 2 functions have been merged and can be performed directly from the user page.
User list
The new user list now looks like this:
All users who have been assigned roles are automatically displayed. Users without roles (car users, for example – who cannot log on to the system) can be found by using the ‘Show all’ option.
Add new users
You can add new users by clicking the ‘+ Add user’ button.
A popup will now appear where you can fill in the most important fields.
Choice of users
To be able to add roles to one or more users, you must first have selected the users.
Click ‘Select’ next to a user
The new list has a “Selected” area at the top which shows a group of users on which you want to perform an action. When you have clicked on ‘Select’, the user disappears from the search list – and is instead added to the top of the ‘Selected’ area. After selecting 3 users, it looks like this
You can remove users (they will reappear on the search list) by clicking on the small x next to the user name – or use the X on the far right to remove all selected users
Add role / Remove role
Once you have selected users, under ‘Action’ you can select ‘Add role’ / ‘Remove role’
For ‘Add role’ this gives a popup
Here you can choose where in the organization the role should apply to (for example, if it is only within a certain department), and you can choose between all available roles.
Note that you can choose to add more roles!
See result of ‘Add role’ / ‘Remove role’
When you have clicked on ‘Add’, in the ‘Selected’ area you can click on ‘>’ … which shows details and opens for viewing rights. Here you can now see that the rights have been added.
If you “refresh” the page and do a new search, the new roles naturally appear at the bottom of the search list.
Search for users
You can limit the search for users in 3 ways
‘Modules’
You can select one or more modules – and then the list will only show users who have assigned roles in relation to the selected module(s).
‘User roles’
Under ‘User roles’ you can select one or more roles. This will lead to seeing only users who have these roles.
‘Search for text’
Last but not least, you can search via free text search. Here you can enter your name, phone number, email etc. (more fields will be added in the future which will also be searchable)
